The Port of Dundee is well placed to take advantage of Dundee’s renewable energy potential; this is in line with a national commitment to reduce carbon emissions and to promote electricity generation at a local level.
The proposal for two wind turbines at the port is part of a wider renewable strategy that promotes Dundee as a centre for renewable energy, an industry that is growing rapidly in Scotland.
The turbines would have an electrical generation capacity of between 2MW and 2.5MW each.
